needles size US 7 Size: Approximately 10
in. square
Gauge: 4sts = 1” Abbreviations: K = knit K2tog = knit 2 sts
together P = purl Rep = repeat Sl = slip St/sts = stitch/stitches Yo = yarn over Cast on 40 sts.
Knit 6 rows. Slip 1st
st of each row knit-wise. Pattern: There will be 4
st borders on left and right side worked in garter st.
Row 1: sl1, k3, * k2, yo
twice, k2, rep from * to last 4 sts, k4. Row 2: sl1, k3, * k2tog,
(k1, p1) in yo twice below, k2tog, rep from * to last 4 sts, k4. Row 3: sl1, k3, yo, *
k4, yo twice, rep from * to last 8 sts, k4, yo k4. Row 4: sl1, k3, k1, *
k2tog x 2, (k1, p1) in yo twice below, rep from * to last 9 sts, k2tog x 2, k5. Repeat rows 1-4 until
total of 12 repeats of pattern. Knit 6 rows.
Slip 1st st of each row knit-wise. Bind off.
